You're ready to take your smile to the next level for 2017!
You may have heard that veneers are a great option to do this, but how do you know whether no-prep or low-prep veneers are right for you? Your cosmetic dentist in Arlington, TX is here to help!
Here's more information on the different veneers we use in cosmetic dentistry:
What Is a Porcelain Veneer?
Best described as a thin layer of porcelain that fits over your tooth, veneers are ideal for repairing numerous dental issues such as:
- Stains and discoloration
- Gaps and spacing
- Misshapen teeth or size discrepancies
- Small chips, fractures, or wear
- Misaligned teeth
Veneers are custom designed and shaded to either match your teeth or completely improve your smile. In fact, many of the Hollywood smiles we admire everyday have been enhanced with porcelain veneers.
The Veneer Process
Typical veneers require preparation of your tooth, which means that a minimal amount of tooth structure needs to be removed. Dr. Sater designs your smile and sends the specifications to a dental laboratory to fabricate your veneers, while you leave with temporary veneers in place.
When your restorations are completed, Dr. Sater will bond your final veneers directly to your teeth. This process typically takes about 2 weeks to complete and requires 2 visits.
At Rush Creek Dentistry, we offer options to our patients so they can choose the type of dentistry that's right for their needs and lifestyle.
Lumineers are another option for using veneers to restore your smile with no preparation or removal of your enamel or tooth structure. These veneers are even thinner than traditional veneers, so they fit over your tooth and can even be removed down the road with no changes to your tooth. This procedure can typically be done during one visit with Dr. Sater.
Dr. Sater is happy to discuss your ideas and goals for your smile with you to help you determine the right treatment for your needs. Contact our office today to schedule your cosmetic consultation.
