Our patients notice a difference when they come to Rush Creek Dentistry, whether it's in their first friendly phone call, to their treatment procedure, we're always striving to exceed your expectations of what excellent dentistry should be. We do this with our strong commitment to genuinely caring for each patient based on what they need, and by equipping our office with state-of-the-art technology that's designed to make your procedure comfortable and stress-free. Here are some of the ways we make dentistry painless for our patients.
No one likes the injections before treatment, right? Even though the needle is delivering anesthetics designed to keep you comfortable, the anticipation of that needle is usually the worst part of the appointment. What if we could take away that aspect of your procedure? With a tool called VibraJect, we're able to take the discomfort of the injection away by distracting your brain with a slight vibration and buzzing sound while Dr. Sater delivers your anesthetic.
It's that simple! Your brain can't concentrate on more than one sensation at a time, so VibraJect essentially distracts your brain so you don't feel the injection. This is only one example of the unique tools and technology we use to make your visit pleasant.
For patients who experience fear or anxiety around coming to their dental appointments, Dr. Sater offers two options for sedation dentistry. Nitrous oxide will help to "take the edge off" so you can relax during any type of procedure, even if you just need a simple cleaning appointment. Nitrous is a gas that enters your system through a mask worn during treatment, and it leaves your body as soon as the mask is taken off. This means you can drive after your appointment, and you can resume normal activities. Nitrous is also safe for children.
The second option we offer is conscious sedation, which is a deeper form of relaxation delivered through a pill taken 1 hour prior to your appointment. While you'll still be responsive during your appointment, you'll feel completely at ease, almost as if you were sleeping. In fact, due to the nature of the medication, you probably won't remember much of what went on during your treatment. You will need a ride to and from your appointment, and should allow yourself time to relax and recover after this type of sedation.
